Robert Schippers was born in 1995 in Aachen. From 2014 to 2021 he studied Jazz Piano in Mannheim with Joerg Reiter and Rainer Böhm. He quickly established himself as a household name in the German Rhein-Neckar region and became one of the most sought-after sidemen on the keys: Whether as a Jazz organist alongside Ali Neander, Max Clouth or Felix Fromm, as a fusion keyboardist with Ralf Gustke or Ragawerk, or in the pop/rock genre with Jonathan Zelter, Ingrid Schwarz and other German Pop acts – his versatility and musicality are widely appreciated.
He has also collaborated with Philipp Rehm, Thomas Siffling, Erwin Ditzner, Mattl Dörsam, Martin Lejeune, Martin Albrecht, Wolf Martini and many other Jazz artists.
Robert is a member of the session band "SISA Brothers" and writes his own music sitting at the intersection of traditional R&B, Soul Jazz and contemporary Jazz concepts.
In late 2023 he moved back to Rotterdam where he had studied Hammond Organ with Carlo de Wijs in 2018.

I hold the title of 'Master of Music' in Jazz Piano from a state-recognized music university.
As a student, I was fortunate to attend lessons and masterclasses with Rainer Böhm, Joerg Reiter, Richie Beirach, Tony Monaco, Carlo de Wijs, Brian Charette, Pablo Held, Glenn Zaleski, Larry Porter, Richard Humburger, Alan Fraser, Pee Wee Ellis and many other international artists.
Working as a music educator for 10 years I have accumulated a wealth of experience in both theory and practice. I have worked with students of all ages and levels.
Together, we'll set tailored learning objectives for you and devise a practice method that allows you to work towards your goals efficiently and joyfully.
Lessons can be given in person in Rotterdam (NL) or online, in English or German language.
